Bovbjerg Sea Level, Denmark
Cliffs, Groines and Sea

This panorama is compiled from 46 portrait images adding up to a total pixel size of 64672 x 2219. A print with good quality could be over 5 meters wide! It consumes around 840MB on my harddisk (luckily I have extended my computer's RAM recently).

If you take the chance to go down on sea level just below Bovbjerg Fyr lighthouse, you will be rewarded with a beautiful coastline with 30 to 40 meters high cliffs and a long walk along the North sea with waves battering against stone groines. The groines are intended to protect the coastline and dunes, as every year erosion takes away some centimeters. Getting down on sea level can be with or without thrill: Either take the stairs or the rope - yes - you can rope down the cliffs - an adventure for the whole family (if you are not afraid of heights like me). In the panorama both are roughly where the two people stand on the top of cliffs - at sea level you can guess the end of the stairs.
