What to say about the Crete Senesi in Tuscany, Italy?
Being an area South of Siena, the rolling hills, woods and alignments of cypresses are famous world wide.
Crete Senesi is translated "clays of Siena" - referring to the characteristic greyish clay - seditemnts of a long forgotten sea some million years ago.
Some farms - and as here - sheep interrupt the vast areas of fields and green. But also badlands can deliver amazing photographic opportunties.
