The Swedish King

Alces alces
Moose (US) / Elk (GB)

15, Markaryd, Kronobergs län, Scandinavia, Sweden, Europe

It's the undisputed king of the Swedish forests - the moose. Despite the large numbers of moose in Sweden (around 350.000) it is still hard to find them in outdoor nature. While we were lucky in any of our Sweden trips to find at least one wildlife example, this specimen was photographed in captive conditions in Smålandet älgpark.
